THX 1138 – George Lucas's gritty 1971 debut creates a believable dystopian sci-fi world through clever cinematography and use of realworld locations, while the campier Logan's Run hasn't aged as well. Unfortunately the only version available now is the 2004 Director’s Cut full of CGI "enhancements,” but unlike the Star Wars Special Editions, these changes do mostly “enhance."
